We will be going to Bosnia in 2021!

As I write this, on 21st April 2020, I should be sorting out my suitcase ready for the flight to Bosnia a week tomorrow. Sadly, because of the Coronavirus, airports are shut, there are no flights – we are in lockdown.

But it takes more than a pesky pandemic to keep intrepid Indigos down! Nigel Grace, our guide and mentor, and I have been planning fresh dates – we shall be travelling (all being well) at this time next year. And we already have enough people for two full groups of 20 or so.
If you would like to join us, get in touch now – we are planning, we shall be going, and it would be great to have you along with us!

Typically we go for a full week, flying from Heathrow to Sarajevo. Bus collects us, takes us to Visoko, the little town at the feet of the Pyramid of the Sun that guards the Valley of the Pyramids. We stay at a hotel in Visoko – the photo shows a view of the pyramid from the hotel –  and have a flexible schedule that includes time in those amazing, enigmatic tunnels every day, along with a day trip to the massive stone spheres at Zavidovici as well as exploring the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. On the penultimate day we return to Sarajevo, and enjoy a guided tour of the old city, spending our last night there. Time to explore the city the following morning, fly home in the afternoon.

It is an amazing experience, one that I would totally recommend – but I have been before so I am biased – and I am happy to tell you more if you are interested.
